Lee Jackson is Chancellor of the University of North Texas System. He was appointed to the position on September 1, 2002, after three decades of service in government in Dallas and the State of Texas. He is responsible for policy direction, planning, and oversight of the University of North Texas (Denton), the UNT Health Science Center (Fort Worth), the UNT Dallas campus (the future UNT at Dallas), and many other system initiatives.
Assistant to the Chancellor
Oversees the daily operations of the Chancellor's office in Denton.
In addition, she manages the budget, handles requests from UNT
System component institutions and the Denton community, and coordinates
all aspects of the Board of Regents meetings.
Scheduler
Manages the Chancellor's calendar and is the contact person for all
meeting requests. Moreover, she provides administrative support
to the Denton office.
Director of External Affairs
Responsibilities include: UNT System external relations with Dallas
entities, institutions, and downtown Dallas System properties; planning
coordinator for the proposed UNT System College of Law; maintains
relations with UCD personnel and governance; and supports the Chancellor's
external affairs meetings and presentations.
Administrative Assistant III
Responsibilities include: Assistant to Director of External Affairs,
UNT System office management at the UCD, front office reception, and
general inquiries.
Web Communications Specialist
Responsibilities include: Writing for and maintenance of the UNT
System web site as well as all System division sites; photography;
special projects; and System liaison with URCM Communications Systems
and Creative Services.
